Frozen: Storybook Deluxe | best apps for kids

Just in time for the cinema release of the new Disney Movie “Frozen”, Disney has also released a rich in content deluxe storybook app for kids, which is rather high-priced with $ 6.99. In return however, you get a pretty extensive Play area besides the storybook itself. We’ll introduce you to both now.

Frozen is a universal app for iPad and iPhone and unfortunately only available for iOS devices.

Frozen – the movie trailer

The film is based on the story “The Snow Queen” by Hans Christian Andersen and it’s surely no coincidence that the film is released in winter. Here’s a quick quote of the plot:

What games and special feature to expect

You can’t really blame Disney’s high-priced apps for at least one reason: They’re never idea-less. Even Frozen has many remarkable features, such as being able to turn the iPad/iPhone upside down, to be able to see the scene in the other sisters point of view.

Several pages can be frozen and also played as a puzzle, which also matches the wintry, cold season. The ice-puzzle is a little challenging than usual picture puzzles, as the single ice pieces can only be placed aside, if they have the correct shape and form. The picture is then slowly revealed one piece at a time.

Another frosty game, offers kids to create their own winter pictures with cool colors or even snowflakes, which can then be seen inside various snow globes.

Frozen Apps

The storybook app by Disney also mixes various media together. The story area can be swiped aside so that only the illustrations are shown, the pictures themselves hide some little animations and sometimes even movie scenes of the film.
