How to mirror using AirPlay on your Apple TV :

• Begin by connecting your Apple TV and iOS device through the same Wi-Fi
• Click on the option of Control Center, depending on your iOS device
• Click on the Screen Mirroring option
• Click on your Apple TV from the list
• A four digit code will appear on your TV screen. Enter the same on your iOS device
• To disconnect, follow the same steps. Just click on “Stop Mirroring” option

Mirroring through Roku, Fire TV and Chromecast

There are a number of mirroring applications like Roku, Fire TV and Chromecast available. All of them have more or less mixed reviews. Some of these applications also use iOS screen recording feature which is used to capture videos from your phone and then transfer the same to your TV or any other streaming device.

Most of them have said that the video quality is compromisable but not that bad. Many applications are to be used along with this mirroring applications.

Thus, if you want to use Chromecast into your application you can also use the Google Home companion application through which you can connect your device using the wireless network. Once you see the Chromecast icon under your supported applications icon, click on it. now, you need to select the Chromecast from the list of devices.

Once the media playback begins, the same will be seen on your TV rather than on your iPhone or iPad.
