If you want to use any email client to be able to send emails from your Gmail then you would be needing its SMTP settings. Some email client pick up these settings on their own. While for others you have to enter the Gmail SMTP settings manually. Below we tell you how to access your Gmail SMTP settings and share them with others.
Setup settings of Gmail SMTP
- SMTP username: Your Gmail address
- SMTP password: Your Gmail password
- SMTP server address: smtp.gmail.com
- Gmail SMTP port (TLS): 587
- SMTP port (SSL): 465
- SMTP TLS/SSL required: Yes
Once you have successfully added the email client the first information you are expected to give is your email address and password. After doing that the Gmail SMTP settings should pop-up on your screen. When that happens you have to enter the information that has been mentioned above.
However, if you are unable to see it you will have to do some searching around. These would be somewhere in your account settings and you should be able to trace them easily. But, also remember that the Gmail SMTP settings have a limit of 500 emails per day. Mostly that much is fine for an average person and should not be a burden to you either.
