How To Use Zoom For TV

How To Use Zoom For TV

Zoom is one of the widely used application these days. This is frequently used on mobiles and laptops and but what if you want to use it for your TV.

Well, if you want to use zoom for TV then there are two basic ways of using Zoom for TV – wired and wireless.

Wired is considered to be much more stable in terms of connectivity whereas wireless is quite convenient as you can play your phone or camera closer.

Different options to watch Zoom on your TV are –

  1. Airplay with AppleTV or AirPlay enabled TV – if you have an airplay or apple TV then you can easily use iphone, iPAd or Mac. It will allow you to display TV via apple TV.

How to use on iOS devices –

  • Ensure the software is updated on apple device as well as on iOS.
  • Make sure that the same Wi-fi is shared with Apple TV and the iOS device.
  • Click at the action center which is located at the top right corner of the screen on your iPhone or iPad. Begin by swiping upwards from down on your iOS devices.
  • Click on the screen mirroring
  • Choose the name of your Apple TV from the list displayed. As soon as you click on it, your TV will start mirroring your apple device.
  • Now, open the zoom and make the call as usual.

How to use on MAC and TV –

The same process works with MAC as well and thus you can share the same with an Airplay    display. With this option, you can click on the icon which is located at the top right bar of your screen. In this way you will be able to share your MAC screen with your TV. And then finally, the zoom will go into the main screen.

This way works equally well with your latest TV which supports Airplay. Well, to be very frank there are very few TVs which support the same, but if you have a Samsung TV then you are lucky. You can successfully play airplay zoom on your TV but make sure that you have already opened Zoom on your phone.

Begin to mirror your screen with Chromecast –

Chromecast works as a bridge between your Phone or PC and your TV. Chromecast works as a dongle which can get connected to your TV via HDMI and then you can enjoy full control over what you watch. You can also enjoy Netflix or Disney+ but make sure that your TV supports mirroring.

Mirror your screen with Roku –

With Roku devices, you can mirror your display on the TV which is supported under the android ecosystem. You will have different names here – cast, smart view, wireless projection. But one of the important points to remember is that everything which is on your phone will be mirrored on TV. But make sure that since the sound is silent, thus make sure that you can increase the volume on TV if required.

When your TV is already supporting mirroring

There are a number of TVs which already support mirroring and thus if you have a Samsung Smart TV then you can enjoy mirroring. If your TV supports mirroring, then you can automatically open the zoom on your phone and then start using the same on your TV too.

Connect through HDMI

This is also highly a stable connection, but make sure that you don’t walk away from your TV because this is connected directly to your TV. You can even have a camera or microphone closer to you at this point.
