Clearly, we’re not the only ones infatuated with constantly tracking our analytics.
Developers are always working towards creating streamlined apps that build in the same level of functionality you can get from Google Analytics and other analytics platforms from your mobile devices. These iPhone apps, some of which are integrated Google Analytics clients, others of which work with other platforms, will help you satisfy your endless cravings for real-time data at your fingertips.
Analytics Pro – Analytics Pro is a Google Analtyics app designed to put “Google Analtyics in your pocket.” Monitor multiple accounts and profiles, export 60 different reports to text or PDF files, get portrait and landscape maps and graphs and much more. You can even drill down your data, just like you can with Google Analytics desktop version. It’s not free, but only costs about $5 from the App Store.
My Analytics – Keep track of your key metrics, regardless of where you are, share your progress with key stakeholders and much more with this new Google Analytics app brought to you by KISSmetrics. It’s not officially available on the app store yet, but you can sign up for early access.
Analytics App – Analytics App works on both the iPhone and iPod Touch—making it easier to access your Google Analytics than even from your desktop. Get more than 55 reports on visitors, traffic, content and event tracking. This app costs just $6.99.
ClickyTouch – Get real-time web analytics on both your iPhone and your iPad with ClickyTouch, including beautiful data visualizations, push notifications when your stats exceed certain trigger metrics and much, much more. All this functionality can be yours for just $2.99.
HITChecker – Why wait for your IT department to generate outdated reports when you can have all the real-time data you need at your fingertips? This app is designed for the non-analyst, with multiple login capabilities so team members from all facets of your organization can access the data they need instantly. You do need a HITChecker account to use the app—plans range from $19 to $449 per month.
HootSuite app – When you think of HootSuite, you think of social media marketing. But HootSuite has rolled out some sophisticated reporting capabilities that are vital for monitoring your web presence. While it’s not a replacement for a web analytics app, it’s a necessary addition to your analytics arsenal. And it’s free, so what’s your excuse?
SiteCatalyst – Omniture SiteCatalyst, a product of Adobe, provides you with real-time, actionable data encompassing all your online marketing initiatives. It can be used on both the iPhone and iPad, and it’s free.
Ego App – Ego App is one of the most talked-about web analytics apps for the iPhone. It integrates with Google Analytics, Mint, Twitter and Vimeo to provide you all the pertinent stats you need from a single, functional interface. Get it for your iPhone, iPad—or both.
SEM Calculator – This app gives you multiple calculators to evaluate everyday search engine marketing equations, including CPM, CPM to CPA conversions, max CPC for PPC and more. If you’re buying banners, ads or emails, this app is a must-have tool.
Mixpanel – Mixpanel offers advanced analytics on your iPhone, with the ability to integrate it into your mobile apps to uncover answers to complex questions in seconds as well as drive user engagement.
Quicklytics – Quicklytics is a super-fast Google Analytics app that works on iPhones, iPods and iPads—so you can access your stats on the go, no matter what device you have on hand at that particular moment. You can configure it with multiple sites and accounts, with access to basic data and the ability to drill-down to custom date range reports and more. It’s just $4.99 at the App Store.
Audience – Get your most meaningful Google Analytics stats on the go with Audience, in big, bold numbers so you can quickly get the data you need. Total visitors, new visitors, total page views, unique page views and the average page views per visitor are displayed in an easy-to-read interface.
Analytics StatsWidget – Get a home screen icon with instant access to your vital web stats on the fly with Analytics StatsWidget. Two super-easy dashboards provide access to 47 custom reports, straight from your device.
iDashboard for Google Analytics – iDashboard for Google Analytics is packed with even more features than the Google Analytics desktop version. Define target values for each key performance indicator (KPI) so you can monitor your progress on the go. Both free and paid versions are available.
Fast Analytics – Fast Analytics lets you switch between various accounts and websites to access Google Analytics data for any of your web properties from your iPhone. Get content, traffic and keyword reports, as well as browser, country and engagement data.
Analytics by Applidium – Get both basic summary information and complete Google Analytics data with Analytics by Applidium, which offers a streamlined, easy-to-use interface for accessing as much information, as deep as you want. It’s one of the few applications offering complete data free.
Analytics Tiles App – If you like beautiful data visualizations, Analytics Tiles App is for you. With a variety of charts, graphs and other data in a clutter-free, easy-to-use, visually appealing interface, Analytics Tiles App provides you with all the reports you could ask for in its functional, tile-based (and did we mention customizable?) design.
Analytiks – Analytiks was voted one of the most attractive Google Analytics applications for the iOS in 2012. Choose from two color schemes, advanced graphics, complete infographics (um, yes please!) and much more.
Abuzz – Abuzz is a slightly different app that’s actually also useful for reputation management (and yes, we know, it wasn’t on our list last week—we told ya we couldn’t possibly fit ‘em all in). This handy tool that provides insights on whether your marketing initiatives are paying off in terms of social conversations.
Webtrekk Q3 – Webtrekk allows you to track stats for your apps just like you do your website data. The Q3 iPhone app lets you get all the same data on your iPhone, so you can get real-time stats no matter where you are.
Desktop Web Analytics – Desktop Web Analytics provides Piwik statistics across multiple screens. Piwik is an open-source application for advanced web analysis.
iAnalytics – Get four Google Analytics reports on a single screen with iAnalytics, a simple, streamlined and easy-to-use interface including trend charts, group reports and much more.
Woopra – Woopra provide “real-time dashboard and analytics tools in the palm of your hand.” This app offers extensive capabilities, including all the stats and analysis you need anytime, anywhere.
Clicky Web Analytics – Another app that integrates with Clicky, Clicky web Analytics, offering geographic and date-range analytics, such as traffic, time on site, unique visits, browsers, actions and much more.
Pingdom – So traffic and visitors and all that is wonderful, but what about your server uptime? Pingdom’s iPhone app solves that problem, along with real user monitoring to let you know how your visitors are experiencing your site. Get push notifications on errors, uptime and response time stats for each site you’re monitoring and more. The app is free, but you’ll need a Pingdom account to access data.
