Vaccinated Travel Lane – Enjoy A Quarantine-Free Entry To Singapore If You Meet All VTL Requirements

VTL flight from Frankfurt to Singapore

Fully vaccinated persons can now enter Singapore quarantine-free from over twelve countries through the Vaccinated Travel Lane.

Since 19 October 2021, fully vaccinated persons from Australia, Brunei, Cambodia, Canada, Denmark, Fiji, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Malaysia, Maldives, Netherlands, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom and the United States can enter Singapore quarantine-free via a Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL).

Important: Only passengers who meet all the requirements for the Vaccinated Travel Lane will travel on the VTL flights. Passengers who have not been in any of the above countries (VTL countries) in the past 14 days will not be allowed to travel on a VTL flight. Passengers concerned will be rebooked on a NON-VTL flight.

In this case, travellers only have to take two PCR tests instead of four – before departure and on arrival in Singapore. From the second to the seventh day of their stay, travellers are now only required to perform one self-test, eliminating the need to visit a certified testing centre.

Important Information About VTL Flights

Eligible travellers wishing to travel to Singapore via VTL must ensure that they only book appropriately designated VTL flights.

Those wishing to fly on a designated VTL service must ensure that all conditions are met before booking.

Transit through Singapore is permitted. Transit is only possible for passengers from other VTL countries. For example, passengers can take any flight from London to Frankfurt and then take the VTL flight from Frankfurt to Singapore.

Vaccinated Travel Lane

The current VTL requirements in brief:

  • Full vaccination coverage: Full Covid 19 vaccination may have been administered in Germany, Denmark, France, Switzerland, UK, Italy, Canada, Netherlands, Spain, USA or Singapore with an approved vaccine.
  • Completion of a Corona PCR test within 48 hours prior to departure and a rapid test upon arrival at Singapore Changi Airport (SIN).
  • Purchase of travel medical insurance in the amount of SGD 30,000 (applicable to short-term visitors only).
Download the TraceTogether app (applies to short-term visitors only).
  • Short-term visitors and Long-Term Pass Holders travelling to Singapore must also apply for a Vaccinated Travel Pass (VTP).
  • Stay in one or more of the above-mentioned VTL countries for 14 consecutive days prior to departure for Singapore is permitted.

Short-term visitors and Long-Term Pass Holders travelling to Singapore must also apply for a Vaccinated Travel Pass (VTP). The Vaccinated Travel Pass can be applied for since 1 September 2021. The Vaccinated Travel Pass alone does not entitle the holder to quarantine-free entry and is only valid on VTL flights.

Children up to 12 years of age in the calendar year (i.e. in 2022, those born in 2010 or later) can travel to Singapore via VTL flights without having to present proof of vaccination. They are also not required to apply for a VTP. However, they must comply with all other VTL conditions and be accompanied by a fully vaccinated VTL traveller(s).
